Meditation is such a startup cliche but there’s something about permitting yourself even five minutes a day, no judgement when thoughts drift in, that’s a good lesson for anyone like me that is always working to improve their time management. I’m convinced that even eating lunch slowly, away from your phone or laptop, is a form of meditation. Those who meditate shift the shape of their brain in the long-term (here’s the science) and there’s proof it not only helps with focus but with being open and receptive to new ideas when they come.
